Hi Cozzie just want to know which is good university where i can apply for msc.internationa Business
I got offer from middlesex university and Bedfordshire university is it doing worth from these university

i have aggregate of 53% in my Bcom but i scored 70% in my Bcom final year so please steer me in which university i can apply with my present profile .

Hi Angie, I would definitely apply to some more famous universities. Ones I would suggest inlcude; Birmingham, Glasgow and Loughborough.

I think u have a decent academic profile and could really do much better than middlesex or bedfordshire. They’re not very well known and i doubt they’ll add much value to your cv.
I do have to admit I don’t really know about IB specifically. Why don’t you check out different rankings and individual university websites? Also, if you work on an impressive personal statement and recommendation letters you could probably take a shot at top ranked universities as well.

yeah thanksss Cozzie and Saloni..Yeah Cozzie ur write i must apply to these universities also bt i have doubt what makes u think i can get in them.its these are very famous one and there may be 1000s of application and may be i have rare chance to even get in tat.but if u can guide or support me i wil surely try to get in these uni.

yeah its true i got good marks in my academic profile but due to some personal problems i couldn’t score much in my 1st and 2nd year and did very well in my last year.probably i dnt have any idea whether these big universities are going to considered my application or not…..as aggregate comes to 53% i read in all most famous universities they required there eligibility around 60% in bcom .Though mine is 53% for 3 years so i was bit worried whether they will even consider my application or not.but i have good high school grades like in 10th =62% and 12th =71%.and finally scored well in TYBCOM = 70%.and yeah even i have good sports activities in my whole academic life….i would obliged even if u suggest me sme good universities where i can have a faith in them and apply crossing my fingers. and saloni add me on yahoo Id “enna_kim”

i contacted with many universities international departments via email some of them said they required first class i.e 60% so i am not sure whether thy are talking abt aggregate 60% or they look for final year ….i contacted surrey,brunel,northumbria they said they allowed 55% frm mumbai university but as i am falling short by 2% they need me to have 2 years work experience.
and now i am nt in mood at all to stop my studies and gain experience and den go fr msc.

Hi Angie, I’m a litle surprised by the response of surrey, brunel and northumbria. You mention personal problems in your first 2 years, is it possible to get a letter from your teacher/department confirming this? This could help your application a lot. Universities in Britain do take notice of things like this and especially as your final year performance is brilliant I think it could make all the difference.

Hi Cozzie, i don’t think so its possible to get that becz u knw prof. are not much involved in Personal problems.But even though i try to explain my prof. tat i was bit involve in my father business in my first and second year to help him out.And yes of-course i hope some good university recognized my abilities and offer me place as far as possible , as per your advice i will surely try my luck in Good Universities..and i will make application in brunel,Glasgow,Loughborough,Birmingham, etc some of the famous one …thanks a lot for helping me out .but just tell me when do i apply for September 2010 intake right now or wait for next year starting point.

Good luck and be sure to highlight in your personal statement the fact that you think your final year performance more fully reflects your academic ability – it could make the difference. Let me know how to goes.

yea sure i will let you know about it when ever i get an offer from good university, having my finger crossed at this moment.

that makes a lot more sense to me, the response you got from the international departments was strange and probably wrong – this should give you more confidence

yeah tats why i am little more confidence about securing a place in northumbria . so i might be trying hard to get in this university as its best modern universities,thanks a lot for not letting me down .Seriously u boosted my confidence more.if u haven’t helped me i would have seriously dropped my idea of studying in UK.i wish u would have been one of admission tutor :D THANKS A LOT DEAR i will always approach you for the guidance.
